A web-filtering profile consists of a group of URL categories and their associated action types. You can create your own web filtering profile and add both user-defined and SurfControl predefined URL categories. You can also specify a category for the black list and/or the white list and define the default action.
Note: Custom profiles affect integrated web filtering only.
To create or modify a custom profile:
Enter the following information:
Profile Name: The name of the new profile.
Black List: Select the category for the black list. The security device always blocks access to the sites in this list.
White List: Select the category for the white list. The security device always allows access to the sites in this list.
Default Action: Select the action of the security device if the URL in an HTTP request is not in any of the categories listed in the profile.
Subscribers Identified by:
Category Name: Select the category you are adding to the profile.
Action: Select the corresponding action.
Configure: Select Add to add the category to the profile. Select Remove to delete the entry.
Click OK to save the configuration and return to the Custom Profile List.
Click Apply to save the configuration.
