Export Rules List

The Export Rules page displays all rules applied to routes being sent by the current virtual routing instance to a receiving router. A rule is essentially a series of conditions set to indicate whether the current routing instance allows the routes to be sent to another router. Before you can configure an export rule, you must configure at least one route map first. Export rules use route maps to filter the exported routes.

Viewing Export Rules

To view export rules for all configured virtual routers, select All virtual routers in the List export rules for drop-down list. To view export rules for a specific virtual router, select that virtual router from the drop-down list. In addition, to select how many export rules per page you want to view, select 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 in the List per page drop-down list.

The Export Rules List contains the following columns of information:

Source Virtual Router: The name of the virtual router exporting the routes.

Destination Virtual Router: The name of the virtual router to which the source virtual router exports the routes.

Route Map: The name of the route map applied to routes considered for exporting.

Protocol: The routing protocol of the virtual routing instance exporting the routes.  The setting can be either OSPF, BGP, RIP, connected, imported or static.

Configure: Contains a setting indicating the state of export configuration for the router. Click Remove to delete an export rule.

To Create a New Export Rule

Select a virtual router from the drop-down list and click New. For more information, see Export Rule Configuration.
