A web-filtering profile consists of a group of URL categories and their associated action types. This page displays the default profile, ns-profile. It lists the SurfControl predefined URL categories and their corresponding actions.
Profile Name: Displays the default profile, ns-profile.
Black List: There is no black list configured in ns-profile. The security device always blocks access to the sites in this list.
White List: There is no white list configured in ns-profile. The security device always allows access to the sites in this list.
Default Action: If the URL in an HTTP request is not in any of the categories listed in the default profile, then the default action of the security device is to permit access to the site.
The table lists the following:
Category Name: The SurfControl predefined URL category name.
Action: The action the security device takes when it receives a request to access a URL in the corresponding category.
Configure: You cannot edit the categories in this profile.
