The Association Details page displays additional information about the selected wireless client. It displays the following status information:
MAC Address: The MAC address of the wireless client that is associated with the interface on the device.
State: Displays the status of the connection between the wireless client and the device. The status can be one of the following:
AUTH: The wireless client was authenticated but is not associated with the device.
ASSOC: The wireless client was authenticated and is associated with the device.
WLAN Mode: Operational mode of the wireless client — 802.11a (includes 802.11a turbo if applicable), 802.11b, 802.11g, or 108g (802.11g turbo).
Encryption: Indicates whether encryption is enabled.
Ciphers: Specifies the encryption used between the device and the wireless client. The values are: None, WEP, AES, or TKIP.
Power Save Mode: Indicates whether the wireless client has enabled power save mode.
Rx Data Rate: Rate, in Mbps, of the last frame the device received from the wireless client.
Rx Signal Strength: Strength of the last frame received from the wireless client.
The table displays the statistics of the following types of frames which AP received and transmitted from/to the client. Rx indicates traffic from the client. Tx indicates traffic to the client.
MSDU: MAC Service Data Units (MSDUs)
DATA: Good data packets
Mcast: Multicast data
The table also displays the number of frames that were dropped and contained errors.
