After you configure an interface for Frame Relay encapsulation in the interface's Basic Properties, you can configure Frame Relay options.
To configure Frame Relay options, click FR.
To configure Frame Relay options:
Enter the following:
No-Keepalive: Select this option to disable the sending of keepalives on the interface.
Type: Select the type of Local Management Interface (LMI) keepalive packets:
Ansi is ANSI T1.617 Annex D
Itu is ITU Q933 Annex A
DTE Full Status Polling Interval: Enter the frequency at which status inquiries expect a full status report.
DTE Error Threshold: Enter the number of errors required to bring down the link. This number must be within the DTE Monitored Event Count value.
DTE Monitored Event Count: Enter the number of DTE monitored events.
DTE Keepalive Interval: Enter the interval, in seconds, at which the DTE sends out a keepalive response request to the DCE.
Click Apply.
After you create a bundle (also referred to as a multilink interface) and configure it for Multilink Frame Relay (MLFR) encapsulation, you can configure MLFR options for the bundle.
To configure MLFR options for a bundle, click MLFR.
To configure MLFR options for a bundle:
Enter the following:
No-Keepalive: Select this option to disable the sending of keepalives on the interface.
Type: Select the type of Local Management Interface (LMI) keepalive packets:

DTE Monitored Event Count: Enter the number of DTE monitored events.
DTE Keepalive Interval: Enter the interval, in seconds, at which the DTE sends out a keepalive response request to the DCE.
Drop Timeout: Enter the timeout, in seconds, if links in the bundle drop one or more packets. A value of 0 means that drop timeout is disabled.
Minimum Links: Enter the minimum number of bundle links that must be up for the bundle to be considered to be up.
Click Apply.
After you assign a bundle link to a bundle, you can configure MLFR options for each bundle link.
To configure MLFR options for a bundle link, click MLFR.
To configure MLFR options for a bundle link:
Enter the following:
LIP Retransmission Count before Link-Down: Enter the number of retransmission attempts to be made for consecutive hello or remove link messages after the expiration of an acknowledgement timer.
Maximum Period to Wait for an Acknowledgement: Enter the maximum period, in milliseconds, to wait for an add link, hello, or remove link acknowledgement..
Bundle-link Fragmentation Threshold: Enter the maximum size, in bytes, for packet payloads transmitted across the bundle links.
LIP Hello Keepalive Interval: Enter the rate, in milliseconds, at which hello messages are sent.
Click Apply.
