PPP Configuration

For an interface with PPP encapsulation, you must configure a PPP access profile and bind it to an interface. You create an access profile with a user-defined name that is unique on the security device. You can bind the same access profile to more than one interface, but only one profile can be assigned to an interface.

You can configure a specific instance of PPPoA with a user name and password and other parameters, and bind the instance to an interface.

To Configure a PPP Profile

Enter the necessary information:

PPP Profile: Enter the name of the profile. Choose a descriptive name to help you identify the profile.
