The NetBIOS name (Nbname) service decodes NetBIOS name packets. The security device compares actual Nbname traffic with maximum settings of what you consider to be normal Nbname traffic. The security device considers any traffic exceeding such settings as anomalous.
To modify the following setting for Nbname, enter a new value in the Current column, and then click Apply:
Maximum Number of Pointer Loops for Name Compression: Specifies the maximum number of pointer loop levels for NetBIOS names. Minimum: 0; maximum: 24; default: 8.
