LDAP Service

The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is a set of protocols used for accessing information directories.

To modify one or more of the following settings for LDAP, enter a new value in the Current column for the parameter you want to adjust, and then click Apply:

Maximum Length of an LDAP Attribute Descriptor: Specifies the maximum length of the attribute descriptor. Valid range: 0 through 4096; default: 512.

Maximum Length of an LDAP Distinguished Name: Specifies the maximum length for an LDAP distinguished name. Valid range: 0 through 4096; default: 512.

Maximum Number of Left Zeros for Length in BER Encoding: Specifies the number of left zeros for the length of the BER encoding. Valid range: 0 through 1024; default: 64.

Maximum Number of Login Failures Per Minute: Specifies the maximum number of failed logins per minute. Valid range: 2 through 100; default: 8.

Maximum Length of Integer Representation in BER Encoding: Specifies the maximum length of integer representation in the BER encoding. Valid range: 0 through 1024; default: 4.

Maximum Length of Any LDAP Message: Specifies the maximum size of an LDAP message. Valid range: 0 through 8192; default: 8100.

Maximum Value of Message ID in Any LDAP Message: Specifies the maximum size of an LDAP message ID. Valid range: 0 through 2,147,483,647; default: 2,147,483,647.

Maximum Number of Nested Operators in a LDAP Search Request: Specifies the maximum number of nested operators in a search request. Valid range: 1 through 100; default: 8.

Maximum Number of Search Results Requested by LDAP Client: Specifies the maximum number of search results requested. Valid range: 0 through 2,147,483,647; default: 0.

Maximum Timelimit for Search Result Requested by LDAP Client: Specifies the maximum amount of time to search results requested. Valid range: 0 through 600,000; default: 0.

Maximum Number of Left Zeros for Tag in BER Encoding: Specifies the number of left zeros for a tag in the BER encoding. Valid range: 0 through 1024; default: 4.

Maximum Value of Any LDAP Tag in BER Encoding: Specifies the maximum value for any LDAP tag in the BER encoding. Valid range: 0 through 31; default: 31.
