L2TP Tunnel Status List

The L2TP Tunnel Status page contains information about active L2TP tunnels configured on the security device. You can select how many entries per page you want to view from the List_per page drop-down list. You can also choose to update tunnel information manually (by clicking the Refresh button) or automatically at preset increments.

L2TP Tunnel Status List

This page displays a table that lists all L2TP tunnels configured on the device and provides the following information about each tunnel:

L2TP Name: Indicates the name of the active L2TP tunnel.

Tunnel ID: Indicates the local tunnel ID and the peer tunnel ID pair.

Peer Address: Indicates the IP address of the computer dialing into the tunnel.

Port: Indicates the port number on the device (standard UDP port 1701)

Peer Host: Indicates the hostname of the computer dialing into the L2TP tunnel.

Calls: Indicates the number of active calls in the tunnel.

State: Indicates one of the following tunnel states:

idle: Tunnel waiting for connections.

wp_rply: Tunnel waiting for Start-Control-Connection-Reply.

wp_con: tunnel waiting for Start-Control-Connection-Connected.

estblish: Tunnel established.

dead: Tunnel inoperable.

Info: Indicates system debug information

Configure: Provides the following options:

Click Monitor to get information about all calls in the tunnel.

Tunnel Monitor List Page

This page provides information about calls in a selected tunnel. You can enter a user name in the User edit box to filter by user, and select whether to update call information manually or by preset increments.

This page displays a table that provides the following real-time information about all calls in the selected L2TP tunnel:

L2TP Name: Indicates the name of the active L2TP tunnel.

Call ID: Indicates the local tunnel ID and the peer tunnel ID.

Assigned IP: The IP address assigned to the user  by the NetScreen device.

User: The tunnel name of the user on the call.

Type: Call type, incoming or outgoing.

State: Call state can be one of the following:

idle: Call waiting for connections.

wait _cnt: Call waiting for Call-Connected.

establish: Call established.

Click Remove to delete the tunnel.
