Zone Monitoring Configuration

An interface can monitor all the interfaces in a security zone—in any security zone other than its own. For an entire security zone to fail, every interface bound to that zone must fail.

Note: You can configure the device so that the combined weights from failed security zones, interfaces, and a tracked IP object are required for the monitor failure threshold to be exceeded. Alternatively, you can set the weight of any one of these monitored objects so that its failure alone exceeds the monitor failure threshold.

To Configure Security Zone Monitoring

  1. Select one or more zones that you want the interface to monitor.

  2. Assign each zone that you select a weight to contribute toward the monitor failure threshold. The weight can be between 1 and 255.

  3. Click Apply to save your settings.
