ICMP Service

The Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) is a mandatory protocol tightly integrated with IP. ICMP messages, delivered in IP packets, are used for out-of-band messages related to network operation.

To modify one or more of the following settings for ICMP, enter a new value in the Current column for the parameter you want to adjust, and then click Apply:

Maximum Packets Per Second to Trigger a Flood: Specifies the maximum number of packets per second to trigger a flood. Valid range: 1 through 65535; default: 250.

Maximum Time Interval (in seconds) between Packets: Specifies the minimum time interval in seconds between packets. Valid range: 1 through 65535; default: 1.
