The table lists the following 802.1X statistics and diagnostic information.
Statistics
in eapol: Number of EAPoL frames received by the security device.
out eapol: Number of EAPoL frames transmitted by the security device.
in start: Number of EAPoL start frames received by the security device.
in logoff: Number of EAPoL logoff frames received by the security device.
in resp/id: Number of EAP response/ID frames received by the security device.
in req: Number of EAP request frames received by the security device.
out req/id: Number of EAP request/ID frames transmitted by the security device.
out req: Number of EAP request frames transmitted by the security device.
in invalid: Number of EAPoL frames whose frame type is not recognized received by the security device.
in len error: Number of EAPoL frames whose Packet Body Length field is invalid received by the security device.
Diagnostics (Connecting)
enters: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions to the CONNECTING state from any other state.
eap logoff: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from CONNECTING to DISCONNECTED as a result of receiving an EAPoL-Logoff message.
Diagnostics (Authenticating)
enters: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from CONNECTING to AUTHENTICATING as a result of a client receiving an EAP-Response/Identity message.
auth success: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from AUTHENTICATING to AUTHENTICATED as a result of an EAP-Response/Identity message being received from the client.
auth timeouts: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from AUTHENTICATING to ABORTING.
auth fail: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from AUTHENTICATING to HELD.
auth start: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from AUTHENTICATING to ABORTING as a result of an EOPoL-Start message being received from the client.
auth logoff: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from AUTHENTICATING to ABORTING as a result of an EAPoL-Logoff message being received from the client.
Diagnostics (Authenticated)
auth reauths: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from AUTHENTICATED to CONNECTING as a result of a reauthentication request.
auth starts: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from AUTHENTICATED to CONNECTING as a result of an EAPoL-Start message being received from the client.
auth logoff: Number of times that the state of the security device transitions from AUTHENTICATED to DISCONNECTED as a result of an EAPoL-Logoff message being received from the client.
responses: Number of times that the state of the security device sends an initial Access-Request packet to the authentication server.
Diagnostics (Backend)
challenges: Number of times that the state of the security device received an initial Access-Challenge packet from the authentication server.
other requests: Number of times that the state of the security device sent an EAP-Request packet (other than an Identity, Notification, Failure or Success message) to the client.
non-nak resp: Number of times that the state of the security device receives a response from the client to an initial EAP-Request and the response is something other than EAP-NAK.
auth success/id: Number of times that the state of the security device receives an EAP-Success message from the authentication server.
auth fails: Number of times that the state of the security device receives an EAP-Failure message from the authentication server.
