Note: Juniper Networks supports external antivirus (AV) on select devices. Your security device communicates with the external AV scan engine using Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP).
Edit the following options to configure an AV profile for the ICAP server.
Profile Name: Displays the ICAP server profile name.
ICAP Server Binded: Select the
configured ICAP server or ICAP server group. To configure the ICAP Server
object, go to Objects > Antivirus > ICAP Server Configuration.

Request URL: Enter the request URL string on the ICAP server. The default request service string, /SYMCScanReq-AV, scans all POST transactions (files that are being posted to the Internet) for viruses. The default URL string allows you to communicate with an ICAP server running Symantec Scan Engine 5.0. Modify the default URL string only if you are communicating with an ICAP server from a different vendor. The maximum string length for the URL is 255.
Response URL: Enter the response URL string on the ICAP server. The default response service string, /SYMCScanResp-AV, is for scanning the response returned by an HTTP/SMTP server. The default URL string allows you to communicate with an ICAP server running Symantec Scan Engine 5.0. Modify the default URL string only if you are communicating with an ICAP server from a different vendor. The maximum string length for the URL is 255.
